Caching absent?

While entering search string into search string xnviewmp perfoms a search as you type search an I can hear no hard disk sound, so it seems that it is performed from the memory data.
When removing the search string xnviewmp performs a full folder retrieval with hard disk sound present, so it seems that data comes from hard disk only.

When there has not been done any change to the data, I don't see this is necessary. Data should be in memory and cached. Switching between folders and performing various searches put unecessary load on the disk and reduces performance this way.

So I suggest to improve caching for these cases.
