Automatic image opening when downloading

Hi, When I down load an image form the internet Xnview automatically opens the image up.
Is there any way to turn that option off?

Chrome. I also have Firefox and Internet explorer if needed. Windows 7 OS.

Thanks, this is what I did to fix it.
in Chrome,
Settings > advanced settings > then under downloads there is a box that says "clear automatic opening setting" click on that box
