USB Scanner reset at XnView start

USB Scanner reset at XnView start

My USB powered scanner (Canon LiDE) resets while XnView is starting. XnView starts in 0,1 second ;) but I must wait for scanner to be ready (about 5 seconds - very, very annoying). Other applications attempt to reset the scanner when choose "Acquire". Is there any solution to force XnView to reset the scanner only when I choose Acquire from menu?
