XnView 1.70.4: Check for Update broken

It seems that the "Check for Update" feature in XnView 1.70.4 (Jul 7 2004) is broken. It still said I was running the latest version of XnView until I happened to find 1.80.2 on your website and installed it this week.

Maybe you can fix this by updating the info on your update server or something? It would be a shame if all those 1.70.4 users never knew there were several newer versions available...

The version info on the server is indeed outdated, it says 1.80.1. But it looks as if the check in XnView 1.70.4 has a problem and therefore does not recognize that there are new versions available.

I guess Pierre knows more...

Does it require IE? 'Check new version' doesn't connect anywhere for me. Maybe it is because I don't use program installers.

I can confirm that "Check for Update" works in 1.70.4 now! Good job!
