How to disable Tab function?

Hi, recently upgraded to the latest version of XnviewMP, and the tabbed option seems to have changed. I need to refer to multiple images simultaneously, so I have multiple instances of Xnview opened with a different image. Now XnviewMP seems to automatically tab the previous image, so I'm ending up with the first instance of Xnview display (for example) 1.jpg, then second instance of Xnview with 1.jpg and 2.jpg, 3rd instance with 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, and so on.

Is that the intended behavior? Is there an option I can use to turn the tabbed interface off? Or maybe I unwittedly did something wrong.
