I've done a quick search, and this problem was reported as early as April: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... 9&p=131627 , but it seems nothing has been done about it thus far (or it was and it got broken again). The issue is that the image gets distorted when zooming in and out (noticeable "tearing" defects in certain areas of the image). This does not happen in the classic version.
I uploaded a screenshot of the issue, the red circled areas show the defects. The yellow area is supposed to be a perfect circle, so it's not being resampled properly (I think this is called a rounding error, but I might be mistaken). I am using the 64-bit version, if that makes a difference.

Re: 0.83: Zoom isn't working properly
It looks like the issue is already on the tracker: Issue 642
The priority is set as "high" and the severity as "major", yet it's still not fixed? That issue has been there for over a year.

Re: 0.83: Zoom isn't working properly
I've tried this out with a similar image and could reproduce in XnView MP 0.76. From what I can see this problem is fixed in XnView MP 0.84. Could you please try and confirm, Zera?
