I noticed today that if you try to save an image in Photoshop PSD format in XnView 1.80.3 it crashes if the image isn´t True Color (24 bit). Steps to reproduce:
Open any image in XnView. Go Image > Convert to Grey > 256 Grey scale. Go File > Save As and choose PSD format. Click Save and CRASH!
Then open XnView again and convert an image to 256 Grey scale. After that go Image > True Colour and then save the file in PSD format. It works.
PSD writing crashes XnView unless image is True Colour
