Initialize XnViewMP with existing pictures and iptc

Hi all,

I'm new to XnViewMP.
Till now, I used the file structure (Windows) to sort all my pictures (about 80.000pics).
Additionally I tagged a lot of these pics with ACDSee (and before with PhotoShopElements).
All of the tags are written in the IPTC section of these files.

Do I have to open each and every folder in XnViewMP to "charge" the category section?
This section looked pretty empty, when I opened XnViewMP the first time.
After browsing through some folders, the category section got more and more charged.
But categories of pictures in folders, I have not yet opened in XnViewMP are not listed there. Hence I'm not able to search for specific pictures by categories.

Is there a mechanism to "initialize" XnViewMP?
Or do I have to open every folder manually?
