Hi. XnView 1.80.3 freshly installed - crashed 3 sec after starting every time on Win XP SP1.
After i deleted gsdll32.dll, the problem was solved . (This filename appeared in the error message.)
Gsdll32.dll belongs to GhostScript 8.00 (on my machine). I did not try to install the newest GhostScript 8.51, i just keep the Gsdll32.dll deleted.
Would like to know if gsdll32.dll is needed for XnView (for EPS oder PDF?).
Thanks anyway, 1.8 rocks!

Yes ghostscript is needed for eps/ps/pdf, is it the AFPL version?henrik2000 wrote:Hi. XnView 1.80.3 freshly installed - crashed 3 sec after starting every time on Win XP SP1.

Sorry, i don't have any more clue about what kind i of Ghostscript i had on my machine. Now that i deleted the DLL i cannot open the software from the Start menue, and from the Readme it is not clear whether it was AFPL or GNU. Maybe GNU, because i vaguely remember installing it for some Gimp issue; but not sure about that. I am not aware that i ever *used* Ghostscript.
