Greetings!
Strangely, XNView MP can open .svg files if they are dragged to the program window, but they cannot be opened through Windows explorer (only the program window opens, but not the image) and they are not displayed in the browser of XNView MP. Can this be fixed? I can see the support of displaying this file type, but cannot get why I can't use it fully, just as the functions for any other supported image type.
Peace and happiness!

Re: Opening of .svg files
Hi, I'm facing the exact same problem as OP and yes, I have no SVG preview in the browser, how can I fix this?
Thanks.

I can see the thumbnail and here is where to look. Note: I have shut off all excludes but if you want to keep them just edit the exclude entry by removing SVG

Thanks! This solved not viewing the thumbnails.Rick wrote: Sun Apr 05, 2020 2:39 pm I can see the thumbnail and here is where to look. Note: I have shut off all excludes but if you want to keep them just edit the exclude entry by removing SVG
The other problem still persits. I can't open SVG files with XnView MP directly from Explorer, it opens the Browser. Mind you I'm not using Windows' explorer, I'm using XYplorer which I don't think it makes any difference, right? Here I'm attaching one SVG file.

Post your OS as I am on windows and probably can't help other than to suggest to look at my graphic again and see if adding that extension to the INcludes solves it for you

Re: Opening of .svg files
From Explorer, try right clicking the SVG file and choosing "open with"
Then find XnView and make sure 'Always open with' is checked. That will fix the registry issue
