Drag & Drop Only Copies Does NOT Move

I don't know if it is a bug or my own incompetence, but I can't simply drag an image into another folder to move it. It will only copy the file. I am running XnView MP on Mac; I have tried holding Shift, Ctrl, Option, Command.

I would think something as simple as dragging a file from one folder to another should be doable. I see there is a command in the pop-up over a file that has a move to that then goes to finder so you can select the folder, but that is entirely way too tedious.

Is there something simple I am missing??

you drag from thumbnail view and drop in thumbnail view? or in folder tree?
