0.92: Tools -> Search for Color Label doesn't find anything

Running on Windows 7 Starter SP1 32-bit on an Intel Atom

I've been going through my photos from the last year and adding "red dots" (Important Color Label) to photos I want to consider for including in an end of year album.

Now I am trying to run a Tools -> Search recursively through all folders in order to find all the photos marks with a red color label, so I can copy them all out to a single folder.

It's just not working, it says no results found!

I tried searching on some EXIF data, and that worked.

This bug should be easily reproduce-able.

I think rating or colour labels are in the database.
There is a known bug for searches in database since V0.92 (?)
Exif data are not in database, so search can work.

You can use "Categories filter" tab, and choose options in "Match" menu ... ?

Thanks for the reply.

When browsing a single folder I can use the "Filter" button to filter for only one specific color label, this does work.

What I really want is recursive search. The pictures which have been tagged are spread across multiple folders.

I was talking about Categories filter, not filter button.
Select the tab shown in the picture, click in the "match" choice box , and "global" for folder...

I didn't know about this "Category Filter" section. It looks like it does what I want, but it is using the database, not a file-by-file recursive search. So the database must be up to date.

My wife and I have been frustrated by intermittent behaviour with colour labels. She says that photos which she knows she labelled did not keep the label, somehow it wasn't applied or saved or something. This will need more investigation from myself.

We finished our Annual Family Photo Album yesterday, so the stress is off for another year
