Zeroing all the details IPTC of one image when editing multiple

Post by SergSA »

When editing IPTC multiple images, all details of the first selected image are reset.
Even if only one prop was edited.
(If you press "Write", and not "Write in all files").

Select two or more jpg pictures, open "Edit iptc/xmp window" (Ctrl i) and see last tab, "options".

If "Don't load field values" is enabled
if "keep original value if new value is empty" is enabled

- when opening the window, fields are empty of course. If you use "write to all files", metadata won't be deleted : OK.
- but if you use "write" button on the first photo, empty fields will delete metadata (because "write" button doesn't check all options) = bug

- then, if you select the other pictures (using > arrow) you can see that fields are not empty, no more bugs.

workaround : use > and < arrows, ... so your fields won't stay empty , even on the first image.
