Default File List sorting has changed with update

I recently updatet XnView Classic to version 2.48. Previously, the Browser would sort files based on whatever I'd previously used for sorting. So, if I opened the Browser, and chose View >> Sort By >> Name (Numeric), then closed XnView, the next time I opened it the sorting would be Name (Numeric).

Now, though, whenever I open the Browser it always defaults to sorting by Date Created, Descending. I've dug through the settings but I couldn't find anything about how it sorts files in the folder. I don't need XnView to sort it based on Windows File Explorer folder settings; I just liked when it remembered the previous setting.

The browser sort order is set in View > Sort By

But your problem is that the sort order is not remembered in 2.48... Pierre?
