Wrong file names
Doesn't open files with Kazakh names (Cyrillic with additional specific Kazakh letters). See the screenshot.
Re: Wrong file names
Please see this recent thread: Warning: 'Error opening the file'
You may need to change a setting in Windows in order to read characters correctly in non-Unicode programs.

What if my language isn't in the list? There is no Kazakh language

Re: Wrong file names
Your language isn't shown in the Windows setting referred to in the above linked post?i2gun wrote: Tue Nov 05, 2019 10:29 am What if my language isn't in the list? There is no Kazakh language
I only know what I found from a Google search at the time of the above post...

But you should be able to use XnView MP without a problem, I think...

Re: Wrong file names
XNView MP has the same issue, as I remember...
But, also I have some jpeg files with the Japanese letters and hyeroglyphs. Does it mean, that I have to add language to my system every time I open the image with the new symbols in its name?

Re: Wrong file names
Hi! It does open, but it works slower than XNView and some functions differ from XNView MP, which is not useful. For example, it doesn't copy (Ctrl+C) the selected area of image to an external program like GIMP (copying works only within the program); when opening the file, it loads slower than XNView, etc. I used to work with only XNView, its simple functionality was enough for fast work.

Re: Wrong file names
