Transparency is lost during conversion from CMYK to RGB

I'm working on a TIFF file with transparent background, which shows correctly in Windows 7 generic image viewer, but in XnView the background is white - no idea why...

I'm using XnView 2.48, Windows 7.

Activating/disabling color management doesn't make any difference.

To be able to convert correctly this CMYK image, you need to use a CMYK default color profile like this one cmyk.zip

Tools → Options… → General → ICC → Default CMYK color profile → Other [ X:\Test\cmyk.icm ]
