What does 'create error' signify?

Post by AlexSledge »

I just ran a batch convert of about 19,000 files, and I got a create error on 100 of them.

Example:
D:\Downloads\Conversion\\VTPM2 Block 1 Floor 1 Furnished 20x20[city,town,urban,modular,buildings,houses,village,map,construction,berg,fantasy,medieval,gothic,dark,ages,tile]_result.jpg : create error

What does this mean?

I suspect perhaps a path/filename too long, but I can't find a log anywhere.... and this forum search is defective by not allowing a search on 'error'.

For what it is worth, I moved the sub folder with the 100 problem files to the desktop, and reprocessed those, went without a hitch. This is certainly a path+filename length issue. If at all possible add an enhancement request to denote such a cause of failure.

you have this error when the system can't create the file, so you're right perhaps a pathname length problem
