Hello,
I'm using XnView MP batch convert to create low-size webp thumbnails for the web.
Been using 0.93.1 and tested the 0.94 beta 2 with the same results.
I need to produce file sizes as low as possible
-lossy webp: quality: 75%
-compression method: 6
- filter strength: 50 (not so relevant)
-filter sharpness: 0
But compared to version 0.92 or lower, I get larger file sizes.
It seems EXIF, XMP & Co. are saved in the files (did a hex comparison of files)
But, obvious, via UI the options cannot be unchecked in the webp format settings.
I searched and didn't find this topic yet in the bugs section... hope is ok to add here.
Regards,
MC

Re: Batch convert - webp settings: cannot uncheck EXIF, IPTC, XMP, ICC
On the batch convert Output tab are the options 'Preserve Metadata' and 'Preserve color profile' possibly selected?

Hello,
The options 'Preserve Metadata' and 'Preserve color profile' are not selected.
The fact is that you can disable the EXIF and XMP for instance for jpg format (settings) but not for webp.
Interesting:
After converting images to jpg first (100% quality) and deselecting EXIF, IPTC, XMP, ICC there, the same checkboxes are now deselected after adding the converted jpgs to batch input to produce what I wanted: webp.
So by an in-between conversion to jpg or something like png, you can deselect EXIF...
The fact is that you cannot directly deselect or re-select EXIF, IPTC, XMP, ICC for batch webp settings, it just loads from what's encountered in a previous conversion batch.
After using jpg and deslecting XMP, I now have XMP deselected for webp.

So you think there is an issue in the XnView MP detail design...
