Issues with Raspian - Raspberry Pi 4

Subject: 0.92: Program does not write to config file

XnView: MP 0.92 - 32 bit
OS: Linux - ARM version ... - 32 bit

When I make changes to settings, the changes are not saved to xnview.ini, so changes are not retained once I leave the program. This is not a permissions issue, as I have made sure that the file can be changed by any user. I can manually edit the file, and the changes are retained and are in effect when I reopen the program.

Effect: Changes to setup are not saved. Changes must be made by manually editing xnview.ini

To reproduce:
1. Open program, enter setting and make any change.
2. Exit program and reopen. Change is not saved.

Actual behaviour (bug): Changes to settings not saved :bug:

Expected behaviour: changes to settings saved.

I HAVE RESOLVED THIS PROBLEM BY REMOVING THE PROGRAM, MANUALLY DELETING THE /.config/xnviewmp FOLDER AND ITS CONTENTS AND REINSTALLING.

The following problem remains.

Subject: 0.92: Message that new version is available, when this is not the case

XnView: MP 0.92 - 32 bit
OS: Linux - ARM version ... - 32 bit

When I open the program, I get a notice that a new version (0.93) is available for download. However, this does not appear to be correct for the ARM version.

Effect: Annoying, incorrect notification. I have removed it by changing the check for update setting to "never".

To reproduce:
1. Open program. Notification of new version appears.

Actual behaviour (bug): Notification of new version appears, when this does not appear to be the case. :bug:

Expected behaviour: No notification if no new version is available.
