Blurry folder thumbnails
Thumbnails on folders are blurrier in comparison to the ones inside of it. On the left side is the folder "Test" with the picture inside of it. I cropped the picture thumbnail out (right side) and put them together to see it better. The pictures themselves are totally fine, only the folder thumbnails look so blurry. Is this a known problem? Anything within the settings?

Re: Blurry folder thumbnails
But both are thumbnails, one is of the folder the other of the picture itself. Why should the folder thumbnail be less detailed?

Re: Blurry folder thumbnails
My guess is that the folder representation is rendered a lot smaller than the thumbnails inside the folder of the actual graphics
You can go to settings / browser / thumbnails / misc and tweak the settings there but I doubt you will ever get the thumbnails to equal the actual graphics

Re: Blurry folder thumbnails
The only things I can change are the thumbnail sizes and unsharp the picture thumbnails too by removing the "thumbnail sharpen" setting. Isn't there a setting to sharp the folder one too? Why would it affect only the picture thumbnails at the moment? Unfortunate as always I guess

Re: Blurry folder thumbnails
They are smaller and that goes with the territory. The folder icons show by default 4 thumbnail so they will lose a lot of their quality. They are only meant to give you a visual representation of what is in the folder. The normal file thumbnails are also just representations

The example was from that page, at the moment I'm using 256x356 but got no improvements by changing them to different ratios.

As stated previously the size is 256x356 in the catalog and thumbnail settings.

Re: Blurry folder thumbnails
I'm using the zip setting and it doesn't improve if I'm changing it to none or the other ones. Rebuild/optimize the database, create new thumbnails function, refresh F5 - no changes.

Re: Blurry folder thumbnails
Both thumbnails are equally blurry in your attachment? When you use the sharpen setting the right one should be less blurry - that's the whole point of the thread. If you compare the right thumbnail of mine with yours there is a lot more detail in comparison to the folder preview thumbnail on the left side.
