XnViewMP 0.96 not starting on Ubuntu 19.10

Post by heed »

XnView: MP 0.96 - 64 bit
OS: Linux Ubuntu 19.10 - 64bit

The Application does not start by doubleclick.
When trying to start from terminal: "XnViewMP: Command not found."

To reproduce:
1. upgrading to Ubuntu 19.10
2. downloading and installing XnViewMP 0.96
3. trying to start XnViewMP

Regards

I also have this problem with Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS and the error message is:
"$ xnview
/opt/XnView/XnView: error while loading shared libraries: libopenal.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I don't know if this dependency is inherent to xnview.
Thanks
