Move tabs to new panel? [Solved]

Post by John Wood »

Hello! I just came across XnView MP and after playing around for 10 minutes, I knew that I had found my Adobe Bridge replacement! Bridge was the last Adobe product still installed and now it's gone. I see that some layouts have panels above or below the thumbnail browser, but I can't figure out how to do that. Actually, what I would like to do is to be able to see both the Histogram tab and the EXIF tab (both in the Info panel) at the same time - one above the other, on the left side of the interface. Is that possible? Thanks!

I just switched computers. Using Win10Pro on both. On the previous one I was able to have Folders & Favorites as separate Panels. On the new PC install they are tabs which I can't seem to get to be Panels. What am I missing?

Please click on tab "Favorites" to bring the "Favorites" panel to front. Then drag the title of the panel "Favorites" and drop it on a place other than the source panel (Folders, Categories Filter). Then you should have separate panels for folders and favorites, again. Please note that titles of panels must be shown for drag and drop; you control visiblity of title of panels via "View > Panels > Show title of panels".

Thanks Helmut.
The option "Show title of panels" is grayed out.

I've just fiddled around a bit and found that when using pre-defined layouts (Layout 1..5, ...) "Show title of panels" is greyed out. Please try "View > Layout > Free"; then "Show title of panels" should be available.
