kqp to jpg conversion stopped working

I downloaded XnView Classic and successfully converted several files from old floppy disks connected with a USB Floppy drive. Then, it just stopped working. The floppy drive works fine, all files on the disk are listed, but XnView no longer recognizes the kqp files as image files. (I also tried with XnView MP) I am running Windows 10. Any help would be appreciated!

do you have settings>General>Display all file formats?

Interesting! That seemed to work when i switched to a different floppy disc. But there were several other discs with the same file extension (.kqp), but those images did not display. Another interesting point.... the files that successfully display have file names that are in the format 04_29A.kqp - the files that are not displaying were created later and have the format 004_NR.kqp - is it possible that the file naming convention change could cause a difference in display?
