Linux keyboard issues

Post by SATO »

Subject: 0.97: keyboard navigation kinda freezes

XnView: MP 0.97 - 64 bit
OS: Linux - Ubuntu 18.04 LTS / 64bit

there is at least a couple of issues with keyboard navigation, I use XnView MP since long and same issue didn't happen on version 0.96.5.
If I select all the images from a folder using ctrl-A shortcut and then I try F2 for batch rename nothing happens. I had to create a separate keyboard shortcut for the batch rename function to make it work (in all the older versions I was able to open the batch rename window using F2).

A separate (but related and more tedious) problem appears after you use ctrl-A to select all the images from a folder: after they are all selected, there is no way to restore navigation via-keyboard (using arrows), you have to select one image via-mouse to allow keyboard arrows navigation again. In other words: with older versions (I have re-installed 0.96.5) you can select all images (ctrl-A), then if you click on keyboard arrows you can easily go back to the single-image-selection function. With 0.97 it kinda freezes and there's no way to go back from the "all images selection" to the "single-image-selection" (I tried all the keyboard keys, nothing happens)

This isn't a Linux only problem - both issues exist in win10, too.

thank you, first time I interacted with this bug-report function and I tried to be as much detailed as possible. I'll download latest version asap and see if it all works good now for me (as far as I understood, problem should be flagged as "solved")
