I often use the batch conversion with different folders and use the 'skip' output file setting, if the output file already exists.
Sometimes there are only a few new files in the source folder, which I want to convert.
The batch conversion process is much slower than in previous versions of XnViewMP (0.96, 0.97).
Sometimes it also look like XnViewMP is freezing. If I use the "overwrite" output file setting, it is much faster.
Here you can find my settings:

The first step, the analysing phase, is slow. The previous XnViewMP was much faster in this phase.

Re: XnViewMP 0.97.1 - batch conversion - slower than previous version 0.97
Dear Pierre
I have similar problem on Windows 10 and XnViewMP 0.97 - batch conversion takes minutes vs. seconds. Could you help me understand how to solve it?
Example - I started batch resize of 17 jpg impages each around 1.5-2MB and it estimates the time to 40+ minutes!
Best regards
Jarek

You can use XnConvert from this website, which has the same batch conversion mode and functions.
It use multi-threading, too.
