Import database from XnView Classic

Post by m-a-r-k »

First time forum user but lurker for years...

I'm just trying out XnView MP after using Classic for ever!
I spent a long time giving every image a Colour Label which I use to show which family member took the image.
I think all of this is stored in the xnview.db file
How do I get XnView MP to recognize the colour labels of each image?
I tried copying the xnview.db file to MP's settings folder but none of the images had the colour label.

Is there a way to export this information across?
Can XnView Classic transfer this to the XMP properties, for instance?

Thank you.

Thank you Pierre
I imported Classic's category.db and XnView.db but MP still shows all my images as label "Uncoloured".

I deleted the old XnView.db for MP and started up MP again and imported the Classic XnView.db again. When I closed MP down the XnView.db file was 368K whereas the Classic db file is 2.5Mb, so it doesn't look as though the db was imported successfully.
