For a long time, I have really wished the Status Bar would include the file date. I constantly need to see the date of files, and the only way to do it currently is to right-click on thumbnails and bring up Properties, which is slow and irritating.

Further, I also wish you could customize the Status Bar. I'd like to do various things:

1. Show the file date, as I said
2. Hide other details I don't need to see, like physical size/inches. I have no use at all for this information, and I work in design/photography.
3. Not essential, but it would also be great if I could make the status bar bigger with a bigger font. It's currently tiny, but this is important information that I look at a LOT.
4. Also, all the items in the Status Bar are squashed up together, making it hard to quickly find the detail you want. It would be great if you could add separators between the items, or specify the minimum width each item takes up (in pixels), to create gaps between them. Or maybe allow some items to be aligned to the right hand side?
5. It would also be nice if you could assign items to be in a bold font

It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to implement simple customization of the Status Bar, and I'm sure a lot of users would find it very useful. I'm not the first one to request it, see other threads dating back many years:

because it's neater

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.98.3. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
