MP4 Video Thumbnails

Some videos crash xnviewmp (segmentation fault) after "VideoFrameExtractor by TIMER" after the third frame is extracted to create a thumbnail.

Is there a way I can display generated cached thumbnails for specific video files (e.g. right click->generate thumbnail), but not automatically attempt to generate thumbnails for all videos?
