Add new View | Filter by... entry?

Is it possible to add additional filters to the View | Filter by... categories via the Settings | File list | Custom filter tab? I understand it's possible enable / disable / modify the existing filters, but what about additional ones? There's no "New" button nor context menu entry that I can find. For example, I'd like a filter that shows only raw files.

Or is there another way to filter the image file list by file type?

Yes, even just a list of allowed file name extensions would work for me: *.CR2, *.CR3, etc.
