Graphic Converter mac have a very convenient option if you use the various IPTC/XMP location tags (location, state, city, country...): you can copy paste them all at once.
The workflow to fill the location is way faster that way: you select a picture containing the good location informations (there is also an option to copy the GPS tags too), then select another pictures and paste to them. This addition to XnView would be awesome! (at least for me )
So far I wrongly assumed that transfer was only to transfer tags in a file, not from a file to other file(s)!
So, technically, I guess I could use that; but that would be way longer. For each new location I have to select "transfer", manually add 4 or more tags (location, city, state, country, and GPS coordinates), and for each select a source, that's 12 actions if I want to select location+gps.
The workflow in Graphic Converter or HoudahGeo is way simpler: select a picture, copy all the location tags, select target picture(s), paste all location tags.
Moreover, I see that some of the required tags are lacking in "transfer": IPTC/XMP location for instance, or GPS coordinates...
