Hello,
I always have XNView Mp open in the background, and use it both as an image viewer and as my main file explorer.
From time to time , when I'm browsing files in for example f:\Path\subpath (left is my treeview, center my file list), and I leave XNView MP open for a while, the file list shows the file listing of C:\ when I return to XNView.
It doesn't happen all of the time, but it does happen a few times a day. It also sometimes happens when I open a file. Today for example, I was browsing some PDF files on d:\Electronics\PDF for example, and when opening a PDF, the file list immediately swapped to showing the files of c:\ .
Each time it happens, the treeview still shows the original path, which was not deleted or removed by another process.
Unfortunately, there's no way for me to simulate the error, I have not found a way to make it happen on demand so to speak.
Has anyone else ever noticed this?

It seems that the folder opened in XnView MP was removed or moved

Hi,
The folder has not been moved nor removed - when I click on another folder in the treeview on the left and then select the original folder again, the contents are displayed again like they should.
At first I thought it was because I was on a network drive (perhaps the connection was lost or something similar), but this also happens on fixed drives, SSDs as well as HDDs. It is therefor not related to network issues and/or drive type imho.

Yes, even on fixed drives. I would even say mostly on fixed drives.
Reproducing the issue is tricky - it happens several times a day, but I cannot really reproduce the issue "on demand".
Oh, one extra thing I've also checked: I though it had to do with energy savings, for example a drive going to sleep so the file list couldn't be fetched (after leaving XNView MP open for a while), but this isn't the case either. None of my drives are set for energy saving mode, and they never to to sleep mode.
