Options to configure and toggle checkerboard background pattern in file browser

Hi!

While we can (in view mode) toggle and change the colors of the checkerboard background pattern used behind transparent images, none of these options are available in the file browser, which always uses the default colors for the checkerboard and has no way to toggle it.

By the way, could the View->Use checkerboard command also be present in browse mode?
