0.99.7: MacOS system crashed while moving files

XnView: MP MacOSX Version 0.99.7 64bits (Jan 13 2022)
OS: Mac os Monterey 12.1 - Apple M1 Pro

When I try to "move" a RAW image to a subfolder, the system freezes and crashes completely. It happened to me at least three times in an hour.

How to reproduce it:
1. I select one or more images
2. Using the mouse, I move the selected files to a subfolder
3. Complete CRASH of the operating system and restart of the machine

in these conditions I can no longer use Xnview

do you have sent a dump crash log? If you try to move another file format, no problem?

Hi,
I have an operating system dump file; how can i send it to you? I am not allowed to add attachments.
The crash is quite repetitive (ex: 9 out of 10 attempts) and happens with any file.

Maybe I did not say it clear enough. Using the move in xview the complete operating system crashes (I can have the macos dump but I don't think that will be useful for you). And then on reboot xview is restarted.

Really strange, and you can reproduce each time?

I just experienced the very same thing! While moving a folder (containing images) to another folder within Xnview browser, my Mac hard-rebooted!
After recovering from crash I witnessed that only 4 out of 100+ files were already moved (but I was relieved to see that nothing was lost in the process...)

OS: 10.15.7 / XnviewMP 0.99.7

How do you move the files, drag&drop? Move to?

Drag'n drop. I will try the other way, but since my pictures are on big external HD it takes ages to mount/repair the volume after each XnView/System crash so I don't want to do that too often! I tried to check the logs to find something useful but did not see anything directly related to the crash, appart from everything concerning the reboot of course. That said I'm really not a console expert, any hints are welcome

your computer reboot each time that you move a file?

Not each time, but it happened 4 or 5 times lately: to tell you the truth I avoid moving anything now given the major annoyance!
I think I was moving more than one file if that helps, maybe 10 to 100 jpg files at once, but I'm not even sure.
