How to save XMP sidecar files *only* for RAW images

Post by Quagmire »

I recently discovered XnView and so far it's been performing admirably for sorting through my rather unorganized pile of digital photos. One thing I can't seem to figure out is how to get the program to write keywords to "sidecar" files for RAW/NEF images while, at the same time, writing metadata directly to JPEGs. Is there some combination of settings that can enable this?

I just upgraded to v1.00 and this seems to be working now! Thanks, this program is amazing and has come a long way; I think I may finally be able to kick Adobe to the curb for cataloging and keywording.

What are your settings? I have the latest version (1.02) and I can't get it to work... I have mainly Cannon RAW files (CR2).
