black borders with canvas-funktion

Hello!

I have a Problem with nconvert.exe.
I would like to convert a picture 120x120 pixel to 135x120 pixel with the canvas-function. this works, but now i have black borders on each side, but they should be white like the bg-color of the picture.

so...

how can i set the color to white / #FFFFFF?

Please use -bgcolor
