Hi,
First and foremost I would like to say thank your for the great app!
Have you ever considered to create an own apt repository for XnView's binaries?
It would be nice to have one. It would speed up my updates.
If you would like to I can support you in this. It almost doesn't matter for me if I maintain one repository only for my private machines or share it with you and the community as an official XnView repository. What do you think?
Thanks & br,
Halacs

Re: Ubuntu repository
It needs a web server where static files of the Debian repository can be hosted.
For this purpose, people usually create a sub domain like https://apt.xnview.com
I have some bash scripts we can run to generate meta files for the current repo content. It uses a GPG key pair to sign repository content.
My current test repo looks like this: https://apt.halacs.hu/apt/
Only package in it is the current xnview release.
