Export... removes ICC profile
Hi,
XnView MP 1.0 64-bit.
Why does "Export..." to JPG not include the ICC profile of the original image if "Remove all Metadata" is not checked?
TIA
Roman

Re: Export... removes ICC profile
Hello Pierre,
I think Save as... also includes the ICC profile.
Is there a way then to "copy" the profile from the original image to the image after export, please? And is there any other metadata that is lost when using Export...?
TIA

Re: Export... removes ICC profile
Very strange. If I open a JPG image which includes an ICC profile and use Save as... to simply save it then it retains the ICC profile.
(Of course, "Keep ICC profile" must be checked in the JPG write options.)

Re: Export... removes ICC profile
If you mean Settings - General - ICC - Use ICC profile for monitor (slower), then yes, this is enabled.

Re: Export... removes ICC profile
yes right, when you use 'Save'/'Save as', the color profile used in the image is saved, not the original profile
'Export' should save profile too.
'Export' should save profile too.

Re: Export... removes ICC profile
Not sure I understand - what do you mean by "profile used in the image" and "original profile"?
Also, so, you confirm the difference in saving using "Save as" and "Export"?
TIA
