description window is not closed after saving
When I select multiple files and then open the description and save with ALT+w, the window does not close as it usually does when only one file is selected.

Re: description window is not closed after saving
Thank you, for your problem report, corr. I could reproduce the "problem" easily, but I guess this is rather a feature than a bug:
When selecting "Write" in the "Edit comment" dialog, your comment/description will be written to the image currently displayed. Then, you can navigate to the next image and edit another comment/description. Not closing the dialog after "Write" allows for adding or editing comments/descriptions of multiple dialogs without opening/closing the dialog over and over, again.
What I don't quite understand is that "Write all" doesn't close the dialog either because this will write your comment/description into all images and then you're supposed to be done. All in all the GUI design of this "Edit comment" dialog has potential for improvement...

Yes you are right. It only should close for Alt+a.

Package manager also for Windows. Makes managing and updating software much easier:

Re: description window is not closed after saving
Small off topic addition, as I think it may help others:
In the meantime I switched to winget/WingetUI as package manager. There is also already the current version of xnviewMP. Another advantage is that winget already knows which software you have installed. So you don't have to teach it first by reinstalling software like with Chocolatey. So you can immediately see where there are updates and install them with one click. So my current recommendation to simplify app management like updates.
I am not involved in any of the programs
