Hi!
My problem is simply that, for whatever reason, XnView keeps using massive amounts of memory. Basically, every time I open it, it starts normally but even if I just stay in the browser the amount of memory it uses keeps increasing until the whole thing freezes. After just a couple of minutes it already uses multiple GBs, then it only goes up from there.
I’ve read that disabling thumbnail creation for the whole folder helps, so I tried it. It did indeed help, but only a bit. The issue still remains, and I have no idea what could be causing it - especially because it wasn’t nearly this bad just some time ago. The folders I’m viewing are quite big but surely even that shouldn’t cause this much of an issue, when the thumbnails etc. aren’t loaded? Additionally, even viewing smaller folders seems to use a lot of memory.
What could possibly be causing this and is there any way to reduce the amount of memory used? Thanks in advance!

No, only one tab.

Have you ever used the Batch convert 'Hot folder' option?
Just a wild guess, but inadvertent misconfiguration of that option could certainly cause memory problems!

No, I’ve never used it (or any other batch convert options, for that matter).cday wrote: Thu Jan 05, 2023 8:08 am Have you ever used the Batch convert 'Hot folder' option?
