Dark mode color theme with flatpak?

I really like how the flatpak seamlessly integrates into Linux Mint 21.1's Update Manager but, unlike the .DEB version, the flatpak seems to be unaware of when the OS / desktop environment is set to to a "dark mode" color theme.

Is there anything I can do about this, or is this some inherent limitation of flatpak as a format?
