Hello,
- tag images on a SD card (drive E on following capture screen)
- go to another folder on main drive (D on following capture screen)
- come back to first folder. Tags are gone...
Thanks for listening.

Re: Tags not persistant when changing folder
Hi,
Does that only do it on your SD card ?
Edit:
I have just tested and that's right the tags disappear when changing folder on SD card.
It works if I stay on the hard drive.

Re: Tags not persistent when changing folder
Hello,
I see tagging as a (semi-)temporary way of selecting images across several folders in order to help manage, organize, and viewing images. This kind of "sticky selection" is very useful but must be reliable ! Tags should be available and reliable for all images accessed through XnviewMP. May I suggest to:
- Internally save list of tagged files in a temporary file separated from the catalogue ?
If not, at the very least, tags shouldn't be lost without a warning like : "You are leaving a removable drive folder, tags will be lost, please consider using "Create > File listing" is you want to save the tag selection"
Thanks for listening
That's is what I supposed. So this behaviour is by design. But I regret to say that this design result in a bad user experience !! Tags lost along the way is a pain...Catalog features are disabled for removable drive
