The program takes a long time to open "heavy" GIFs (30-100 MB) - in comparison with some analog programs, even the simplest ones. Test when opening from the Explorer (context menu commands "Send" or "Open with..."):
Imagine - almost instantly
qimgv - instantly
ACDSee 2.41 - instantly
...
XnViewMP - delay (the cursor changes to a rotating indicator - "busy") up to 3 seconds! When opening files from the internal browser, the same delay is observed.
It seems to me that this is some kind of bug. If programs with a size of 1.5 mb correctly open "heavy" GIF instantly, then why such a powerful advanced viewer as XnViewMP can't do this?
I tested the most recent version, but on previous problems the same.

Re: 1.5.0 b4 - Long opens "heavy" GIF
Currently XnView loads all frames before to display...

Re: 1.5.0 b4 - Long opens "heavy" GIF
Thank you, the reason seems clear. And is it possible to make the viewing start immediately, as in the above-mentioned viewers? There are a very large number of frames in "heavy" GIFs and this causes a noticeable delay when opening them even on the powerful computer (Windows 11, fast memory, processor and motherboard of the latest generation, SSD).
