Is there a list of customizations for Mac available?

This is a more general form of another question I posted. The documentation appears to be targeted to Windows, yet there are many differences in the Mac (and I presume Linux) ports in terms of file locations and other things (I spent a long time looking for Settings, because while there is a Preferences button where it should be, it usually is grayed out and does not work), there is no .ini file, and the like.

It would be really nice if there were just a simple list of the differences between the ports, so people like me don't waste time hunting around for files or functions that do not exist, exist under a different name, or are stored in different locations and functions that can be accessed in non-standard ways (like Preferences).

Most of Settings are the same, you have .ini on Mac too
