Why does it take many turns of the system beachball to open XnView. I have it set to open one folder of 2000 images. Does it need each time to open the application & cache the folder thumbnails? I use 64GB Ram.

Why does it take many turns of the system beachball to open XnView. I have it set to open one folder of 2000 images. Does it need each time to open the application & cache the folder thumbnails? I use 64GB Ram.

I have switched the startup app opening targeted folder to a blank empty folder, then restarted my iMac. It's possible this action freed up cache that kept XnViewMP from opening immediately. Anyway, I switched the targeted opening folder from the empty folder to the image folder of 2000 images and it seems to open immediately now. That sounds like a cache issue. But I don't care w it opening immediately now. Thanks.
