Image is resized even when hitting ESC

I just tested resizing an image and then hit ESC. I expected the resize to be discarded but instead the file was saved.

I would expect ESC to discard any change - or at least offer a confirmation before overwriting a file.

I just tried again and it's not saving now. Let me quickly play some more....

No, I'm still seeing the issue.

1. open Resize dialog
2. select a preset or manually resize image
3. OK
4. ESC
5. result = image has overwritten the original and changed size

6. expected result - original image is not overwritten

this is not resize issue

after step 3 - image is dirty (*)
after step 4 - save dialog should appear

if there is no save dialog - you have done 2 things in the past:
- checked "Don't ask again" in "Save Session" dialog and pressed Yes
- checked "Don't ask again" in "Save changed file" dialog and pressed Save

change "Save session on program exit" to Never (Settings > General)

@user0 - thanks, "Save session on program exit" was set to Never but switching to 'Ask' made no difference.

So, I 'Reset all confirm prompts' and that then brings up a prompt for the Resize.

However, I definitely do not want to be prompted every time I hit CTRL+S - but I do want to be prompted if I hit ESC (which would be consistent with every (?) other Windows program).

@xnview - could this be tweaked some how? Thanks.

no changes required, it already works as you described
it's not "Save" Ctrl+S, but "Save changed file" dialog that appears when you close tab/goto another file

@user0 - did you read what I wrote? "I definitely do not want to be prompted every time I hit CTRL+S - but I do want to be prompted if I hit ESC" - consistent with every other Windows program.
