Batch rename based on content?

Post by osikko »

Is it possible to rename PDF based on its content?, I don´t know if this option already exists but it would be a very nice update.
How to do it?
One way to do it would be where you see the preview to be able to choose an area (save position Horiz/vert )and when you name it it would be the variable when changing the name in batches.

I am sure that option isn't supported. The text in the PDF file would have to be searchable, would that always be the case? Or an OCR function would have to be included in XnView MP, which would probably be technically possible using an open source or similar utility.

I think the option you are requesting is unlikely to be added in the foreseeable future unless there is strong support for it, and assuming that it could reasonably easily be added. There is a limit to what a single developer can provide!
