Print dialog only displays option to print to PDF file

Hi,

I could not find a solution in the forum for my printer problem so I post it here.

When I try to print a picture, I have only a selection to print to PDF. I cannot select my printer, that works with other applications without a problem, it is simply not there. Any suggestions what to do ?

I am using Linux Mint 21.3 an XN View MP 1.7.2 form June this year.

Using Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.2, just had an unexplained issue printing myself where my printer was displayed, but wouldn't print reporting a CUPS issue. Prints normally now after applying latest updates and a restart...

Very speculatively, I think a recent update included a new CUPS version, which might possibly have required a restart.

I can reproduce it on a different computer in a Virtual Box VM also with Mint 21.3. Also no option to select the printer. The printer is there and works with other software without a problem. I will check with a different Linux distro.

I have the same issue, I can only print to pdf using xnview MP 1.7.2 on mint 22 but other programs work fine. Anyone find a solution? Thanks
