MP 1.82 - quick file filter - strange cursor behaviour

I am a fan of the quick file filter in the browser window.
In my opinion the cursor behaviour in the text field has changed in one of the last updates.

Sometimes I insert a word (e.g. 207) and want to add some further chars at the beginn of the input box before the numbers '207'.
So I set the cursor before 207. After that I can insert only one char! The cursor position go back to the end of the field.
I expected, that the cursor position do not automatic switch to the last position in the input box.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.8.3. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
