- *Favorites in opening view. It would be useful to be able go to a favorite folder instead of a recently-used folder when first opening the program.
*Toolbar button to turn previewer on and off. I find myself switching the preview pane on and off a lot, and it's a bit awkward to use Ctrl-Shift P each time.
*Shift-Enter (or Ctrl-Enter) on an image launches it in alternate viewer.
*Thumbnails for GIMP xcf files.

I've been using XnView for some time, for which I thank you. There's just a few features that I would like to see added, most of which seem fairly simple. Here's my list:

Thanks for your input, Mr. Rhum. Some comments:
In the options, category "Browser" you can select the option "Specified" and specify the directory you want to view, first. Is this what you've been looking for?MRRhum wrote: *Favorites in opening view. It would be useful to be able go to a favorite folder instead of a recently-used folder when first opening the program.
A good idea for the toolbar. In general, there should be more functions available in the toolbar. Perhaps not by default, but choosable in the options.MRRhum wrote:*Toolbar button to turn previewer on and off. Good idea. Personally I'd prefer Ctrl+Enter.MRRhum wrote:*Shift-Enter (or Ctrl-Enter) on an image launches it in alternate viewer.
I don't have GIMP files, but GIMP and XnView might be a good combinations/partners on both Windows and Un?x platforms.MRRhum wrote:*Thumbnails for GIMP xcf files.

No, I had in mind something like the dropdown favorites list at the top left of the browser window.helmut wrote:Thanks for your input, Mr. Rhum. Indeed they would. I have been using them together on Windows for quite some time.helmut wrote:I don't have GIMP files, but GIMP and XnView might be a good combinations/partners on both Windows and Un?x platforms.MRRhum wrote:*Thumbnails for GIMP xcf files.
