As seen in the attachment when comparing the menu text items to menu icon sizes it is apparent that the icons are too large and do not scale properly. Compared to grub customizer app the icons are closer to the size of text.
Additionally the text and icons appear at lower resolutions and should use higher resolutions (appear fuzzy) - this is a know issue when displaying x11 windows in wayland I believe.

with fractional scaling, there is known issues with Qt API
